Seven Winters

 Seven are the winters,

Of ten years marked today,

They come,

They go.

Time now closes upon us,

To trap us not, and remind us:

That if we start with ten today,

A lifetime still awaits…

Tomorrow.

We change, to love more.

And as children grow and with each season wiser,

Closer we become.

Together, you and me, forever.

Applied Solitude

Find the flame that ignites the pace,
That pace, that takes sound away.

Make haste,
Make speed,
Lead on...

Grant welcome to silence in this place.

Remorse

No verses to say thoughts that make no sense,

A whirlwind of words, of spilling blood and breaking points,

An uncertain room of contempt. Echos of solitude and desperation,

Memories of weakness that drive anger down the spine,

Vampire to my soul over you.

Please let me understand,

Why would I want to close your eyes?

I don't want to go that way,

Surrendering whole into shadow.

New Day

Dream too big,

Take time to break out.

Make a new name,

Open your eyes.

Get back again

To fly high,

Heaven sent

To turn back the time.

Send me a sign and start...

A new day.

Lost in the Green

The fog seems to have ran its course.
Away from shore.
Too far away to remember.
Lost amongst the waves of navy ships. Somewhere in the tropics...

Far from that place I once called home,
Now I run, head straight against the wind.

Swim against the tide.
No current will deny.
Like a sylvan tree left to wither,
Amist the white, icy snow on the top of a given mountain, on the day of a given cold winter...

But hope is not forgotten. Not yet frozen.

Her smile I still can see,
Eyes, though long and shadowy, still trigger a spark of glow...
Hidden behind that tired glance.

Despite the candles burnt with deadly memories,
Or the second calling for loss within the forthnight,
I confess that Death rambles all around.
A part of living, a part of being.

It trembles to no one.

But I dream her strong... I feel her strengthing.

We come... we go.
We travel... we rest.
We wait... we miss.

We hope, we dream.

What does not kill, strenghtens. What we love binds us.

Sand does not make a beach, but it lets the sandclock run its course.

Water does not make a fountain, but it makes the river drive its course.

Truth be told amongst the stars,
That we cannot see beyond the night.
That the moon does not always shine so bright.
And that the path is likely dark and alone.

But please...

Just remeber...

I'm there with you.

Wonder

And then I wondered about it all.
The land I was getting called to.
The magic of its journey.
The mystery to unveil.

Nights of Rainy Skies

The night oh this night
Remember the night.
The wind and the sky,
They tell me to hide.

But I hear no whisper,
I hear no right.
I run and I fight,

My window I keep open.
No covers, no lights.
Just a few ventured glimpses
Of signs of good night.

I see up the moumtain
I stare at the sea
Remember your wishes
Some day will come free.

Dance cold with the rain
Fly low with the wind
Slow never your pace
For haven this is.

Walking

Past the desert tower of solitude I have began a path to a strange new land.

Each step counting towards a destination which origins remain a mystery to me.

My faithful hounds follow my lead. They keep up, they break the silence.

Together we walk.

A burning moon disencourages our efforts, starless skies have always been the toughest.

Maybe I should wait for the cover of darkness... the cool breeze followed by the chilled embrace of the night.

I'll figure this one out soon.

For too many miles lie still to be walked.

Lie still to be journeyed.

And Here We Are Expectations

Never did ever a rabbit thought:
What fun what fun to waiger on!

For I am far from plans and goals.
The mind, the mind,  what joy.

Expectations die.

What else can you do, but enter.
Sweet, umpredictable and truth.

You follow, rabbit, you follow. Seek no further - just light around the path.

New expectations rise.

Others need pass. Way past the fight, down, lostway bound, but safe.

Yes, forget you can always be found.
Recall those words. Recall those words.

Take my ink away, take my soul.
As blood fails drive me.

And words just verses arouse.
A way around of this to find.

You can always be found.
Let them be found.
I am already taken.
Already lost.

Ode to a Memory Soon to Remember

She left one morning, with the promise that she would return.
I've been counting the days I've come to speak her name.
I just keep dreaming, these days have come to end.

The sound of old guitars keep burning chords each afternoon.
Cause I've been waiting, empty with a heavy heart.
I've been left alone for far too long.

Seems only but a promise that you left behind

She left one morning, with the promise that she would return.
And I keep waiting, counting every day.
But I just wonder, if I'll get see her then.

Worries of Change

And these lightning lives we live.
They pass us so quickly now.
Speeding faster as we grow older.

How quick can they move on,
But I just wish stay behind.
And now... I've realised...

All can change, all can end,
So briefly.

What worries then should one have?
Just live what needs be felt.

And keep the memories for later on.

White Collar Guard

I lie there somewhere along the way…
Beneath the white pale clouded sky.
If I truly was there… If I truly be there…
My shadow would not matter,
My presence would not falter.

Oh but you shall see.
I wait still.
Unmoved. Stoic.
The stains of time move down on me.
They do so through paper,
Through pen and ink not bought with gold.

Blood.
White.
Missing the crimson taint.
Flowing down as rain down drain.

It has been now accepted.
I shall remain here.
Keeping the watch I was destined to guard.

Up the Chain

I made it up to here,
The race has just begun.

Ahead darkness falls,
Ignorant of light behind.

Even the chain of fear
Comes slowly to remind,

That night covers motion,
While shadows chase my steps.

Adjacent ally, tell me,
What mortal foil are you if any?

Can you follow?
Can you heed my words?

I will strike deadly,
I will fear trembling,
I will rise vigilant...

Oh dark silhouette,
Show me fate...
Show me mercy...

Drops of the Night Sky

Tell me, did the thrill sweep you off your feet,
Was it all you wanted to find?

Did your disappointment gave it all away?
Left you bound and broken I'm afraid.

I'm just a boy in a story.
A tale that covers much ground but little glory.

Tell me, did the chain broke your horse's vest,
Was it tightly pressed against its chest?

Did you expect something other than your own?

Truth be told, there's no star shining in this night,
But trust you'll be kept locked away in the dark to fight.

Under another night sky,
Different and less likely the one you want.

Winter is Coming

A cold breeze whispers in my ear...
"Winter draws near!"

Alas, I had forgotten the calling.
Left it behind, thinking it was not something that could be so.

Now I wonder. Now I see it...
I wait for the call.

The chance to embark in the journey...
The adventure...

To travel across the sea.
Where Winter calls it Home.

Where we will also call it so...

Walls Closing in yet Dreams Still Shine, A Guardian Comes to Life

Some say doors close upon you.
But these are the choices I make.
I feel the need to stay, despite the hardships.

Despite the doors that close.

Life... I will only have one.
Family... I will only have one.
Soul... I will only have one.

Work... I can have many.

I had the need to compromise.
Now I have the need to let the chance go.

So hard to achieve the goals others want.
Yet so easy to find my own.

I'm bound in my own journey now.
A path I chose by my will.
A wife, her daughter.

They are now... my own.
A guardian in the forest.

A guardian in my dreams...
This is what I...
Now become.

Possibilities

The days roll fast as the engagement roots,
And winter approaches with a new roof
Sheltering my steed.

I do not fear the change to come,
But it does trouble me.

Beckoning to determine, to understand.
What purpose do I now hold?

This alliance is more than just
Destinies intertwined,
More than mere coincidence or luck.
It is my will.

But will my will take us away?
Far to distant lands...

I'm still wondering.
I'm still thinking.

Losing a Part of Her

Nightmares don't come welcomed in my rest nights,
And tears only once had awaken me...

It was something so forbidden,
It was something so disturbing...

For I ran... and oh, I ran...

And in my hands I had part of her...

It was dying... it was broken...

Find a safe house, find a mender.
For that... I ran.

But I was somewhere lost in thoughts...
Lost in dreams...
Running from scene to another,
Not finding proper destination.

Soon the echoes of ticking in the empty space above
Reminded me that blood can quickly leave your veins.

My guiding star had fallen,
Her loving grace existence now in question.

What would I do...
Who in that dream world would understand the implications?

Sadly... no one did. No one noticed. No one cared.

I tried to explain it... I tried to share it...
But each word cascaded desperation down my throat...

I could not live then... my mind... lost...

So I stopped dreaming, weeping in silence.
Weeping in shame.

For I had lost my way when I was the only one awake...

Far Journeys

Stole away from your memory.
A journey far from over.
Brothers lost and found,
Only to be lost again.

This is how it all began.
This is how it all was.

I rode amongst the crowds,
A stranger in a distant land.

A foreigner, a traveler.

One who yearns for home,
Who dreams of his love.

These are those places,
Both good and bad,
She will never see.

I could bring her back with me?
Back where?

She ponders on simple landscapes,
Close to Mother Earth.
Near Father Sun.

Maybe someday, maybe one day...

I will not have to travel alone.

Memories of Holland Park

A forest in the city...
A park filled with life.
Today I walked it's paths.
Tomorrow I'll remember it's grass.

I sit and stare as people go by.

I read.

I write.

But too early is the day.
Too bright is the summer sky.

Will I remember it all?
I can always take back home things I find in the way...

I can always pretend I will not forget.

A forest in the city... a world of it's own.
