Just Open Your Eyes

Things that can't be, should not be.

Expectation can derive from so much,
And hatred but a step away.

However, no fault can one have in dreaming.
No sense of loss either.

Success nor goals can quantify your will,
For their eyes will see nothing but what they are told to see.

Do not try to name it.
Do not try to earn it.

Things that can't be, should not be.

Even as lies flow from one mouth to another,
The intention transformed from higher,
Lacks the honest and faithful reason.
And this...
Cannot be ignored.

I shall not fight against it.
I will not break my will against it.
But this will take no more here on.
The wind breaks the tree when it's ready to die,
Not before.

Things that can't be, should not be.

Knowing is more than enough for me.
So enjoy your vastness and all glory that comes with it.
As the path to the spotlight is not the one you foretell.
Striving for your recognition has come to an end.

I have grown as much as I could here.
This box fits me no more.

Not the first, nor the last.

Things that can't be...
Simply...
Should not be.

Down with the Flow

Where would such tears go,
If not down river
Where souls end up?

Few are the days I've not tried.
But restless torments break easily.
My road should not deviate...

If for any reason but it's own.

So flow down.
And then...
Rise.

Mining for Dreams

Certainty declared in your face
of how the final act shall begin.

Relative is the theory:
Pain and thought.

For what could become the beginning
Is now the end.

You brought so much into this path,
And even saw the breaking that would cause.

Who could had been more wrong,
The miner or the mine?

Fool's gold will always shine,
So I leave you to dream alone.

Perplexed to what had happened.
Anxious of what went wrong.

It was that story I created...
With no intention but to adore.

In that story I abandoned...
With no intention to uphold.

At least you'll have your gold.
At least you'll get the memory.

But as far as it goes,
The pick is broken and the cart is gone.

The old miner is no more.

Fell into a Conversation

It's been a long day,
For no shine through my window came.

Deep inside this hollow shell...
No wanton rest laid.

I am the tallest of the hive,
But I feel not over the wall which I must climb.

Truth be told, there is much to cover...
There is much to shoulder...

Harmonics

And I will play,
Even after death.
Let my corpse be buried
And my notes...

They shall remain.
